Japan began from when the first Emperor has ascended the throne about 2600 years ago.Japan is the country with the longest history in the world as an independent unitary state.

 In long long history, Japanese have created amazing culture.

What is “culture”? This is very diffuicult question. But I think that the Original of culture is “people”.

When people gather and born a good relationship and make agreeable conversation, people’s imagination go toward real habit,rule or method for more good life.

And eventually it’s become established as culture.

I think that sake is the force to help to build the people a good relationship.

We want to convey the great Japanese culture that has been making in among 2000 years by Japanese forerunners to around the world. 

Therefore,we have serched something  tools for Japanese culture simble.

Consequently,”GOKUIN-RYOMA”  was compleated.

Japanese sake is one of Japanese culture. We think that “Sakamoto Ryoma” is one of Japanese culture.

Because there are many associations related to Ryoma in Japan. For example fun club, study meeting etc. This is very unusual, it does not apply to the other  historical person.

There are many Japanese people who like Ryoma Sakamoto in Japan.
He was a samurai of low position. But he had chenged political system of Japan.

It’s  hard to imagine in present day.

At the time, Ryoma and his companions risked their life for changing Japan without regard to status or position. Such their strong feelings created a modern nation Japan at tremendous speed.

And Ryoma required nothing in return. He was thinking about the country and the fellow.
This is the reason that Ryoma Sakamoto is supported from many people even now.
We think that Ryoma is  the one of the hero of the times and the culture of Japanese mind.
GOKUIN RYOMA is the sake of crammed the best of Japanese culture.
GOKUIN-RYOMA’s label is wrriten by  Sakamoto Family’s ninth generation head and signed. And GOKUIN-RYOMA’s sake is made by Masuda Tokubee Shoten.
Label paper is famous Kyoto’s traditional paper. called “Kurotani Washi”. “Kurotani Washi”was born 800 years ago.

We stuck to not only the taste but also the form. And crammed the best quality culture to the “GOKUIN-RYOMA”.

Therefore, we hope that everyone talk about your ancestor and their spirit.
